Join us in Supporting Those Young Adults Who Battle with BI-Polar Disorder

Meet Ben.  Ben is 24 years old and He is MY Son

Benjamin is my son and it has been a complete honor to have coached him and his friends all these years.  Baseball has provide us with a sense of pride and gratitude which would be very hard to communicate.  One of the benefits to coaching is of course the feeling of winning and accomplishment, compounded by being a father of the Kid who comes off the Bench in Tournament in Sante Fe, Texas and drives in what will be the winning run!  I mean, walking back to the car that day and receiving high fives and shout outs from other Parents and friends lends a sense of pride hard to describe, a feeling we all had something to do with this win.  This is the reward of coaching  I speak of.

Most of my spare time has been dedicated to Bens journey thru Baseball.  I have coached him from T-ball age to recently.  When we started, I was Teaching PE and Health and Coaching The Baseball Team at St Pius and Ben was in pre-k 4.  We would mostly play catch and practice learning to grip a ball and bat etc...Somewhere along the way Bens Bi-Polar tendencies began to show its face. We were noticing his tendencies during his time on  his 5A Dobie High School team. None the less He is an incredible situational hitter and !st baseman.  We are now using  baseball to help battle depression and social anxiety.  We feel being part of a community  you are familiar and comfotalble with helps a great deal.  Without the project "The Complete Player Series"  and baseball the struggle would be that much more difficult. We are hoping to organize and grow the program.  Our goal is to be able to invite Athletes battling this disease to come out and keep wining on the field.  We  Thank you Baseball and all of you who continue to strive to be the Complete Player.

We are marketing T-Shirts and Camp programs to raise money which will very soon be use to expand the Website and Fund Activities and Job Training for these young individuals struggling to fight this fight everyday.  We know you will learn with us and I know you in return, can make an impact on the lives of Others during these camps and fundraisors.

This Ben Self Correcting

If a player has been coached well and has learned why he is making a simple mechanical mistake, the Player should always be able to self correct by hearing a few Buzz Words from Coach

Here Ben is dropping his hands & swinging under the ball, Golden rule is "Hands Above the Ball" and Remember the "Fence Drill" Ben will slow down and self correct here  These pitches are coming in at 80 mph
